Tragedy strikes Fall River family as three-week-old baby passes away

Tragedy has struck for a Fall River family.

According to an obituary, Amalia Botelho passed away at just three weeks old.

“Baby Amalia’s brief existence was a dream, a precious moment that reminded us all of the fragility and beauty of life. Amalia, a beautiful star that shone brightly in the lives of those who knew her, brought a unique radiance into the world. Although her time with us was short, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of her family.”

Amalia’s parents “will carry her memory in their hearts as they navigate through this challenging time.”

A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Anthony of Padua Parish on Bedford Street. The Committal service will be held at the Notre Dame Cemetery on Stafford Road.

A cause of death was not released.
