3-year-old med-flighted to Boston hospital after accidental gunshot wound

A young child was rushed to a Massachusetts hospital after being shot.

According to police, at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Hooksett Police Department responded to an accidental shooting inside of a vehicle parked in a driveway in Hooksett.

The victim was a 3-year-old child that sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported to the Elliot Hospital and later med-flighted to Boston with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

All involved parties are cooperating with police. No further information was released at this time as it is an open criminal investigation.
