Entry Level Operator – Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. (Middleboro)

The position is located at our manufacturing facility in Middleboro, MA.

Positions available on both day and night shifts. Day shift hours are from 6am to 6pm and night shift hours are 6pm to 6am on a rotating schedule—3 days (36 hours Sun, Wed, Thur) every-other week; 4 days (48 hours Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat) every-other week.

A Night in the Life of an Entry-Level Operator (Days/Nights):

The primary responsibilities of this job include screening through product to ensure there is no foreign material. Employee will also be responsible for sanitation (hosing floors, sweeping spills, etc.).

Other duties include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to create and understand appropriate documentation to enable proper positive release and lot code trace completion.
• Operation of extraction, infusion, filtering equipment.
• Perform quality tests to ensure product within specifications.
• Operation of forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
• Effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing.
• Ability to work independently, or as part of a team to resolve issues.
• Maintain/clean/sanitize facility and equipment.
• Weigh and stack finished cases and bagged presscake

What We Are Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude a plus.
• Must be able to lift low to medium weight (10-30 pounds) on a regular basis and heavy weight (40-50 pounds) on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to adhere to all plant safety and quality procedures.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during 12-hour shift.
• Ability to climb ladders and traverse catwalks.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment.
• Good personal hygiene is expected.
• Ability to detect differences in color shades and
brightness
