Family member says Fall River woman who lived at Gabriel House during fire is brain dead, remembered for good attitude despite health issues
Tragic stories of the deceased and injured from Sunday night’s Gabriel House fire in Fall River are being told through loved ones. One of those stories is of Brenda Cropper.
According to her daughter, the 63-year-old Cropper lived on the first floor in the back of the property.
“She was always goofy. Always smiling. Always laughing. She liked to help others. She was always kind although she suffered with MS and other health issues, she always managed to keep a good attitude.
Her daughter states that Brenda is burned from head to toe. She also has renal failure in multiple organs, cyanide poisoning, and is brain dead.
Cyanide poisoning is known to been seen in patients suffering from smoke inhalation from fires.
A second person, stating she is another daughter, is disputing the other daughter’s claims and states Cropper is currently in critical condition fighting for her life.
