Rhode Island man facing charges after 6 firearms, 6 large capacity magazines, several drug seized

North Providence Police arrested a man for numerous firearms offenses and narcotics offenses.

According to police, on Friday, the North Providence Police Detective Division arrested 35-year-old Juarami Batista from North Providence. The arrest resulted from the execution of court authorized search warrants at his residences on Charles Street after a lengthy investigation. 

During the search, detectives seized 5 hand guns, 1 short barrel style ghost rifle, 6 large capacity magazines, approximately 668 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 78 grams of suspected MDMA/Methamphetamine, and approximately 95 grams of suspected fentanyl.

The following weapons were seized as a result of the search: 

-A Taurus G2, 9mm pistol. 

-A Glock 22, 40 caliber pistol with a fully automatic conversion. 

-A Glock 17, 9mm pistol. 

-A Taurus Judge revolver. 

-A Derringer 22 caliber revolver. 

-A short barrel AR style ghost rifle.
