Fall River, MA – If you are from the Fall River area you have either seen their videos online or seen them perform in person. They will now be hitting the small screen all over the world.

Brian Martins and Derrick DeMelo, recognized across the globe as The Portuguese Kids, have been making audiences within the Portuguese community and beyond laugh for nearly two decades.

Martins and DeMelo have teamed up with two-time Emmy winning Cinematographer Dean Camara and RTPi (Portuguese Radio and Television) to deliver the first English language program fully created and produced outside of Portugal.

Portuguese Problems, an uproarious sketch comedy show parodies well known genres and puts them through the lenses of first-generation kids of immigrants, delving into the humorous and heartwarming experiences of growing up in an ethnic home.

Joining Martins and DeMelo on the show are stand-up comedian Mike Rita, seasoned actress Vanessa Medeiros, stand-up comedian Taylor Amarante, “My Big Fat Portuguese Wedding” vet Chantell Arraial, and theater veteran Graça Pinhancos.

The first of six episodes will air on March 18 at 8:00 p.m. EST on RTPi (available via satellite/cable in more than 20 million homes globally) and digitally on the RTP Play App (available on iOS/Android Smart Devices as well as LG, Samsung and Apple TV Smart TVs).
