The term “only in Fall River” may just be a positive after woman tells her story of experiencing kindness, empathy, compassion from mystery man

When it comes to Fall River, you will often hear the phrase both on social media, and in person, “only in Fall River.” While the phrase is often inaccurate as it references to crimes or actions that happen in many other communities, could “only in Fall River” be accurate for a positive reason? A Fall River woman is looking to plead the case.
Identified as Ginny A., she told Fall River Reporter about an experience she had last week and another story that was the exact opposite in another part of the state.
“Last Friday, coming out of work, I skidded on the wet sidewalk on South Main Street and fell on my arse! A young, hooded gentleman jumped out of his pickup truck, as he sat at a red light, and came over to help me up. Want to shout out a big thank you to this nameless stranger who demonstrated such spontaneous empathy and compassion.
“Just this morning, I learned my cousin fell down backwards on ice, hitting her head. As she lay on the ground in Millis, three cars went by her, but no one stopped. Her husband came to take her for medical care.
“Chivalry is alive and well in Fall River and for that I am so grateful. Thank you, kind sir, whoever you are!”
So, the next time you hear or want to use the term “only in Fall River,” maybe once and a while think of something positive that happened in the Scholarship City.
