The local community is coming together to support a local family in their time of need.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, on March 13th, 3-year-old Cullen Cook of Swansea was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), an aggressive form of blood & bone marrow cancer.

Family members say that Cullen is a joyful, energetic little boy who loves dancing, video games, superheroes & music—especially the Astro Bot soundtrack.

“His strength & spirit amaze us every day, (even while dealing with) the toughest moments of treatment.”

Over the last month Cullen has bravely undergone many rounds of chemo, spinal taps, bone marrow samples & a blood transfusion. His treatment plan will continue over the next 2.5 years.

The fundraiser, which has raised over $18,000 in just 20 hours, is to help with medical and other expenses as Cullen’s mom Caitlin, has taken time away from work to be by his side.

Cullen’s aunt has been blown away by the support from the community in such a short time.

“We are completely blown away. In just half a day, your generosity, kindness, and support have lifted us up more than we can say. The donations, shares, and messages of love have been incredibly uplifting, and we feel so surrounded by care and community. Caitlin and I are truly humbled. Knowing we’re not alone in this fight for Cullen means everything. He’s facing this with so much courage, and your support helps give us the strength to keep going. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you. We’ll continue to keep you updated on how Cullen is doing as we go. If you’re able to donate or share this page, it would mean the world to my family. Your support will help lighten their load & remind them that they are not alone in this fight.”
