Bristol County District Attorney announces pedestrian fatality of 53-year-old man on I-195
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced a pedestrian fatality earlier today on Route 195 West in Seekonk.
Massachusetts State Police were dispatched at approximately 11:15 a.m. to Route 195 West near the Rhode Island state line after receiving 911 calls regarding a pedestrian who had entered the highway.
Upon arrival, police located a 53-year-old man who had been struck by a motor vehicle after he had entered the highway. The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and was cooperative with police. Several other vehicles stopped and reported seeing the male in the roadway prior to being struck.
The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the Massachusetts State Police.
