A 10-year-old Fall River girl wanted some spending money, so she started a business

You hear some say that the younger generation acts entitled and lacks work ethic. A 10-year-old Fall River girl has something to say about that.

Iris Ferreira decided to begin a startup business this month by walking dogs. Her mother, Kassandra, says that Iris is dead set on earning her own money this summer so she can buy a craft table and maybe some other glamorous items for her bedroom.

“Iris is such an amazing kid. She came up with the idea on her own and has worked tirelessly for weeks to bring it to life.”

Ferreira has already been working on her pitch to gain customers.

“Hello, you wonderful neighbor out there! You happen to be one of the lucky fellas that gets this offer! Let’s start with the basics. I am a dog walker. My name is Iris. I am 10 years old, and I also love dogs. So, starting July 1 you can reach out to me when your dog needs a quick walk at 774-327-5920. Now let’s get these paw-sitive vibes runnin’. I am open for your dog to make the crate escape on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 1:30. Also Sundays from 3:00 to 6:00 (day off on July 4th). I am able to walk your dog, but only if he or she is 35 pounds or under. I will offer two different increments of time, either 30 minutes for $5 or 1 hour for $8. Gratuity is welcome and referrals are even better!”

Before becoming a client, Iris asks that you answer the following questions:

What is your dog’s name?
Does your dog have any mental and or physical ailments?
What is your dogs breed or mix of breeds?
Is your dog friendly?
What is YOUR name?
What is your address?

Iris will also provide water for your dog; however, you have to provide the leash and the treats if wanted.

Good luck on your new business Iris. No matter how many customers you drum up, you are already well on your way to being a success.

She should train others to get motivated and get to work!

I see a lot of missing dogs in her future. To young and small to handle dogs even if only 35 lbs.
