Jimmy Buffett makes surprise appearance at Portsmouth concert this weekend
Fans attending a concert in Portsmouth Rhode Island this weekend received a big surprise.
Jimmy Buffett made a special appearance at Sunset Cove on Sunday afternoon leaving just about everyone surprised, including the Portsmouth Police Department.
“What a great surprise! Jimmy Buffett made a special appearance at Sunset Cove and was kind enough to take a photo with the Portsmouth Police RI.”
A concert featuring Mac McAnally from the Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band took place with the audience getting the special surprise of Buffett joining McAnally on stage.
McAnally has been with Buffett’s band since 1998 and has been a contributing songwriter with Buffett.
The sighting was welcome news for Buffett’s fans as he checked into a Massachusetts hospital in May and had to postpone a show due to an undisclosed issue that needed immediate attention.
