High school student critically injured in alleged drunk driving crash passes away

A teenager that was critically injured in an alleged drunk driving crash has sadly passed away.

According to Rhode Island State Police, on February 12th, Troopers responded to Ten Road at Arcadia Road in Exeter to investigate a head on motor vehicle collision.

Kevin MacDonald and Matt Dennison, captains for the West Warwick High School hockey team, suffered significant injuries. Dennison succumbed to his injuries on Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital.

The two boys were returning from a Prospect Night held by the Norwich Sea Captains.

After the crash, 30-year-old Alexander Krajewski, of North Kingstown, RI was arrested and charged with Driving to Endanger, Resulting in Personal Injury, Driving to Endanger, Resulting in Personal Injury, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs, Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs, Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
