Fall River Police investigating after female fatally shot in the south end
Fall River Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early this afternoon.
According to scanner transmissions, just before 12:45 p.m., a call came in for a shooting in the area of 508 Globe Four Corners.
Witnesses stated that a female was fatally shot in the area of the car wash on Broadway.
UPDATE: 33-year-old Fall River man charged with murder of 45-year-old New Bedford woman
Transmissions revealed that after the shooting, a male turned himself into Tiverton Police concerning the shooting.
Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office stated that the public at large is under no threat from this incident and his office will update with more details when available.
