An argument in Fall River led to a man being taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.

According to Captain Jay Huard, Officers responded to the third floor of 451 William Street, in reference to a stabbing.

The victim and suspect were less than cooperative, according to Huard.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the second-floor suspect stabbed the 33-year-old third-floor victim during a fight over the noise in the three-family home.

The victim sustained 4 to 5 non-life-threatening stab wounds in the area of the chest, shoulder, jaw, and underneath the arm. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and is listed in stable condition at this time.

34-year-old Nathaniel Lewis was arrested on a charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
