Coogan spends $12,750 on a poll, Jasiel raises $15,000 from Prima Care employees

The Fall River Mayoral race is in full swing and there are some interesting campaign receipts and expenditures reported on the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance website for July and August.

Jasiel Correia raised $17,000 in the 2-week period of Aug. 1-15 and spent $1,865.05. 17 of the 23 donations came from employees of Prima Care. As of Aug. 16, Correia has $18,902.49 in his campaign account.

Paul Coogan raised $4,350.00 in the 2-week period of Aug. 1-15 and spent $12,750 on a poll conducted by EMC research. Coogan raised $17,090 in the 2-week period of July 16-31 and spent $12,000 on a fundraiser at McGovern Family Restaurant. As of Aug. 16, Coogan has $21,192.54 in his campaign account.

Erica Scott-Pacheco raised $2,372.56 and spent $3,185.90 in the 2-week period of Aug. 1-15. Her only major expense was paying her campaign manager Scott Companella $1,500. She raised $4,786 in the last 30 days, significantly higher than $896 raised in the 30 days prior. As of Aug. 16, Scott-Pacheco has $2,197.82 in her campaign account.

Full disclosure: Mayor Jasiel Correia purchased banner ads on FallRiverReporter.com for this election cycle and during the last recall election. Banner ads have been made available to all candidates for mayor – Mayor Correia is the only one to purchase ads as of this article.
