Boston Police are investigating two reports of off duty Boston Police Officers being arrested this weekend in two separate incidents.

At about 2:51 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, Walter Suprey, a Boston Police Officer since 2008, was arrested by Danvers Police Department for an Assault Battery on a Household Member after being involved in a domestic incident with a family member.

At about 3:55 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, Andrew Blake, a Boston Police Officer since 1998, was arrested by officers from the Boston Police Domestic Violence Unit for Assault and Battery (209A) after being involved in a domestic incident with a family member.

Both Suprey and Blake have been placed on Administrative Leave and the Boston Police Anti-Corruption unit has been made aware of both arrests and have opened an investigation into both matters.

“The Boston Police Department takes all allegations of domestic violence by employees seriously” said Superintendent-in- Chief Gregory Long. “A thorough investigation into these matters will be conducted by the Boston Police Department’s Bureau of Professional Standards and the Bureau of Investigative Services in conjunction with the Suffolk and Essex County District Attorney’s Offices. “

So- now these two police officers – exalted as they may be – – can NO LONGER visit Canada – – Having ‘domestic abuse’ on your record precludes travel to Canada – – sadly, a friend just found out the hard way – – had to cancel a CRUISE at the last minute
