VIDEO: Somerset family bringing ghoulish Halloween fun to area
A Somerset family is doing their part to try to get the area into the Halloween spirit as Halloween is alive and well at 720 Lafayette Street.
According to Jodi Holloway, the decorating bug was passed down to her and she is continuing the practice with her husband and children.
“Our parents Charlie and Sue Poole started the tradition with my brother Chris (Poole) and I as kids and now that my husband Jason and I have children, Brooklyn (9) and Lucas (6), we are all continuing the tradition with them.”
According to Holloway, who has had a display the last few years, as long as the weather co-operates (ie: no heavy wind storms or rain expected) and no emergencies occur, they will be running their display nightly from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
“We are huge Pirates of the Caribbean fans so this year most of the display includes pirate ghosts with a pirate ship coming ashore to battle other pirates that have found a treasure chest.”
Family friendly videos will air from 6:00-7:30pm and scarier videos from 7:30-9:00 pm.
“We have window projection to run videos in the front window and a smaller one in the windows over the garage.”
Holloway says feel free to walk around, but they ask that you please do not enter the fenced in area due to wires, lights, and tubing placed on the ground. Tune into 88.5 FM for an even better experience.
