The Fall River Fire Department had a busy 2022 as their union released call statistics for the past year.

The members of L1314 responded to approximately 7200 emergencies. This does not include all of the inspections, complaints, permits and public education that Fall River Fire Prevention Bureau does regularly.

These 7200 emergencies, break down to about 20 emergencies per day. Members of L1314 respond to an emergency about once an hour, every day of the year.

The Fire Department doesn’t just respond to fires. Overdoses, accidents, medical calls, and incidents with chemicals also fall under their umbrella.

Part of those 7,200 calls was a fire on Christmas Day and an early morning fire Friday December 30th on Hancock Street.
