Two people arrested in Christmas Eve Stabbing, robbery

BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher D. Delmonte reports that the Bridgewater Police Department arrested two people after a stabbing on Dec. 24.

On December 24 at 7:15 p.m., Bridgewater Police were called to the Kingswood Park Village , located at 180 Main St. for a report of a man stabbed. Upon arrival, officers and rescuers met with an adult male suffering two stab wounds in the lower back.

The victim told police he had an altercation with another man and a woman and that he had met the man earlier in the day. He reported that he was stabbed, and his backpack and cellphone were stolen by the suspects who fled toward Building B.

Detective Sgt. Scott Hile and Detective Kevin Kearns with assistance from patrol Officers Ryan Thayer and Matthew MacFadzen identified Eric Wise, 36, and Molly Flaherty, 33, of Bridgewater. Both were taken into custody without incident following the execution of a search warrant at another location in the complex.

The victim was transported by the Bridgewater Fire Department to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with injuries that are considered serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

Wise and Flaherty were charged with Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with Intent to Murder, Unarmed Robbery, and Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony.

Both suspects are being held on bail. Wise is being held on $30,000 bail and Flaherty is being held on $20,000 bail. They will likely be arraigned Monday in Brockton District Court.
