Two juveniles facing charges after foot pursuit, recovery of firearm by Fall River Police

Two teens were charged in Fall River after they reportedly led police on a foot pursuit.

According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Friday, June 23, 2023, members of the Vice, Intelligence, and Gang Unit were patrolling in the Flint Section of the city. As they were doing so, their attention was drawn to a group congregating near a convenience store.

As detectives watched the group, they noticed the police officers and entered a nearby alley. Officers then made their way to speak with the group. Upon doing so, they observed two males running in the direction of Pleasant St.

The ensuing foot pursuit would continue for several city blocks. A 16-year-old male was taken into custody in the area of Choate Street and Alden Street. A loaded Hi-Point 9mm firearm was located by police in his possession, according to FRPD.

Meanwhile the second male, a 17-year-old, was apprehended in the area of Alden Street and Harrison Street.

The 16-year-old was charged with carrying a loaded firearm without a license to carry, receiving a firearm with defaced serial number, carrying a firearm without a license to carry, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace.

The 17-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

    More COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS will stop these Hoodrats from carrying around loaded weapons of war. Call US Representative Jake ‘The Snake” Auchincloss .. he is working on more federal COMMON SENSE GUN LAW Legislation.

    If COMMON SENSE GUN LArWS are expanded, then we can reduce the number of Guns in circulation and ensure only juvenile criminal Hoodrats have Guns.

    ONLY JUVIS HAVE GUNS ??? AND HOODRATS DR David is what’s wrong with the world we b**** about others and call names to justify hatred toward another in all actuality there the problem we can b**** all day about laws hoodrats non working ppl etc BUT NO ONE HELPS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WE ALL STAY A PART OF It. the kids need something to do not something that costs us parents an arm and leg either the community of fall river needs to PUT INTO THEIR COMMUNITY AND YOUTH AND MAYBE WE WILL GET A BETTER OUTCOME INSTEAD OF ONE SIDE B******* ABOUT THE OTHER

      Parents fault for raising thugs who believe they’ll make it by pulling robberies at gunpoint. Good 30 year prison sentence should be in order, it would set a good example for future scumbags. Get the hell out of Fall River…
