Serious multi-car crash on Route 18 sends 4 to the hospital on Christmas Eve
A multi-car crash injured several people and sent them to the hospital on Christmas Eve.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, a call came in for an accident just before 8:00 p.m. on Route 18 (Bedford Street) near the police station.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Four passengers were transported to area hospitals.
A driver of one vehicle suffered serious injuries and was transported to St. Lukes Trauma Center.
Lakeville Ambulance 2 was returning from a previous emergency and responded from Route 140. Engine 1, Car 1, and Car 2 responded to the scene. Lakeville Ambulance 1, staffed by callback firefighters, also responded. Two Middleboro ambulances responded as mutual aid to the scene.
