Providence man captured in 2013 home invasion, murder
A man wanted for a local home invasion and murder has been captured.
On March 1, 2019, a Providence Grand Jury hearing returned a true bill indictment for Juan A. Gibson (47) of NPA, Providence, RI, stemming from a Breaking & Entering (home invasion) in May of 2013 and the Murder of Jeffrey Lebrun in July 2013, both occurring in the City of Pawtucket. A state warrant was then issued for Mr. Gibson’s arrest.
Later that day, Pawtucket Police Detectives in conjunction with the RI USMS/State Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan A. Gibson at his place of employment on the outstanding warrant. Gibson was arrested without incident and transported to the Pawtucket Police Department for processing. Gibson was subsequently transported to the Adult Correctional Institute (ACI).
Pawtucket police believe that Gibson was involved in the stabbing and breaking and entering of Jeffrey Lebrun and then the subsequent shooting death of Lebrun.
