President Biden coming to Massachusetts this week

President Joe Biden plans to visit Massachusetts on Wednesday, according to the White House.
In an email, the White House said the president planned to travel to Somerset to “deliver remarks on tackling the climate crisis and seizing the opportunity of a clean energy future to create jobs and lower costs for families.” Somerset is one of the communities along the South Coast where the burgeoning offshore wind sector is slowly taking shape.
Residents should expect significant road closures, detours and traffic delays throughout the day.

So it turns out the Keystone pipelines has been pumping oil for years but the Keystone XL pipeline that was going to bring poisonous tar send oil from Canada to the coast to ship to other countries that have the refining capacity for that kind of oil. The company that was building it shut the project down not that it was ever going to help us anyhow. Then there’s the 10,000 federal oil leases that Biden would love the force the companies to utilize but Congress won’t go with him on that. Then there’s all the private leases that haven’t been used yet. Also during the pandemic when demand was low the many refineries shut plants down and haven’t restarted some causing supply shortages. Oh and then there’s a capitalist profits. Biggest humongous oil company profits ever. And us tax payers still subsidized big oil!
So what do you suggest the president do? Convince Congress to nationalize the oil industry? Convince Congress to pass price controls? Or maybe pass the windfall profits tax that got shut down by Republicans???
Oh by the way gas prices are at a all time high worldwide. That’s how worldwide commodities work. Have a dream about $10 a gallon in Europe! I was just coming down now because well that’s the way free markets work. I passed the station today is only getting $4.19 a gallon.
