One dead, another seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash on Route 24
A serious multi-vehicle crash on Route 24 has claimed the life of at least one person.
Just before 2:30 a.m., a call came into dispatch for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment near the exit 33A ramp on Route 24 south in Brockton.
Upon arrival, responders discovered three vehicles damaged with one vehicle landing on its roof and two others on its side. One of the vehicles could be seen on the side of the road.
One victim was determined to be deceased at the scene with a second victim seriously injured and transported to the hospital. Others were also injured in the crash.
According to MassDOT, the right and center lanes were closed for over 2 hours which caused minor delays in the area.
The crash is under investigation.
