Murdered Massachusetts restaurant worker remembered as loving, outgoing, great cook

FRAMINGHAM – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Chief of Police Lester Baker have confirmed that the victim of the homicide which occurred over the weekend in Framingham was 30-year-old Anthony Junior Lopez of Framingham.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., on Saturday, Framingham Police responded to Hot Table at 1 Worcester Road where they located Lopez, who worked at the business, deceased in the trash area behind the building.  The preliminary investigation indicates that Lopez was working that night and had obvious trauma to his body.

The case has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and a cause of death is pending.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser created by his sister, Lopez was a wonderful father to his son and had quite the personality.

“He was such a goofy person. Loving person. Outgoing person! My baby brother was a wonderful cook and loved the outdoors. He is leaving behind a son that he loved so much! He had a beautiful smile that lights up the room! My baby brother was the joy in our hearts. He was such a beautiful person in and out! We are going to miss him dearly and we are definitely going to miss his laugh and smile and his goofiness.”

This investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Framingham Police.

Anyone with any information or who may have seen something unusual in the area of 1 Worcester Road last night is asked to call Framingham Police at 508-532-5923.
