Motorcycle rider Medflighted, driver flees the scene of multi-vehicle crash on Route 3A

Two were injured and another charged after a motorcycle versus car crash on Sunday evening in Massachusetts.

According to police, at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, KPD and KFD responded to the area of 25 Main Street (Route 3A) in Kingston for a motor vehicle crash.

Due to the crash, road closure occurred for some time and significant emergency personnel, including assistance from Plymouth Police/Fire and Boston Medflight, were utilized.

Initial investigation appears to reveal that a motorcycle was travelling south on Main Street when a vehicle travelling north on Main Street turned left, in front of the motorcycle, causing a collision between the two vehicles.

The operator of the motorcycle was Medflighted to a Boston hospital, and a passenger of the motorcycle was transported via ambulance to the BID-Plymouth Hospital.

After the collision, the operator of the suspect vehicle abandoned his damaged vehicle up the road and fled the scene.

The operator of that vehicle has been identified by investigators and criminal charges are being filed. Charges include Leave Scene of Crash Resulting in Personal Injury, Leave Scene of Crash Resulting in Property Damage, and Fail to Yield.

According to police, luckily, the injuries to the individuals on the motorcycle are not life-threatening.

The name of the suspect was not released.
