Mike Herren charged with rape Friday
A well known figure in Fall River was placed into custody on some disturbing charges.
Former Durfee Basketball standout Mike Herren was charged this morning on multiple counts.
Herren was arraigned by audio conference in Fall River court this afternoon.
According to information revealed in the court proceedings, Herren is charged with 2 counts of rape and one count of indecent assault over 14.
Herren pleaded not guilty.
Sam Sutter, who was representing Herren, agreed with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office on a $10,000 cash bail for Herren that will be posted at the Bristol County Sheriff.
The judge ordered Herren to stay away from the alleged victim and witnesses.
This is the third high profile case this month in Fall River involving sexual related charges.
Herren’s next scheduled court appearance is July 2nd for a probable cause hearing.

Innocent until proven guilty.Feel people should see this case in a neutral perspective.We don’t know the details.This is hard to believe that Mike coy do something like this.

Wish people said that about me when I had a fake charge that never should have happened, maybe I wouldn’t have gone to prison for half my life almost 20 years, ruin my entire life for something that I didn’t do,and what, because his brother can throw a f****** ball through a hoop we know that he’s not capable of it, well let me tell you something, in order for me to go home from prison, I had to do special classes in groups with sexual predators, I would go back to my cell everyday and cry, because I could not believe the stories that I was hearing, a man was asked once in group, what was going through his mind while he was having sex with a 7 year old girl, he fantasized she was giving birth, he was my friend I never thought he could do something like that, you just never know,but I have met real evil people thanks a lot to this system, and like that last person said underground streets of Fall River know the real deal, him and his brother have been known for this, victims will come out over Chris watch, benefit of the doubt lol kiss my ass I never got it and I understand why, it’s an ugly charge a stigma that you will never get away from, if you’re innocent Mike, sorry that you’re going through this,please don’t expect sympathy and benefit of the doubt because of your name, now prepare for the real hurricane LOL I had to say that
