Massachusetts State Police and local police units are investigating a motor vehicle crash that occurred this afternoon in Raynham. The crash involves a vehicle operated by 24-year-old David K. Lynch, who is on the State Police Most Wanted list for allegedly committing a homicide in Brockton last year.

According to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, Lynch fled from Troopers just after 3 PM in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn in Middleborough.

Lynch was observed sitting in a BMW X1 SUV in the hotel parking lot. As Troopers and Officers approached, the suspect rammed two police vehicles as he fled onto Route 44. The suspect was pursued for a short period of time until Troopers lost sight of the suspect vehicle. A few moments later they learned that at approximately 3:05 PM the suspect vehicle struck another car at the intersection of Orchard and Warren streets in Raynham. The crash resulted in serious injuries to an occupant of that car.

Following the crash, the homicide suspect and his male passenger fled the scene on foot but were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.

The victim whose car was struck has been transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.

Lynch, who is in now custody along with another occupant of his motor vehicle, was also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital under police guard, along with his passenger, for non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation reveals the existence of a firearm in the suspect vehicle.

Lynch is wanted for murder and related offenses for a Nov. 2, 2022, shooting homicide of a male victim on West Park Street in Brockton. The passenger who was in the car with him today is facing charges related to today’s incident.

Procopio stated that this is a developing situation, and the facts and circumstances of the entire incident are under active investigation.
