Two transported to the hospital, including one by medflight, after crash on Route 138

RAYNHAM — Police Chief James Donovan and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita report that the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 138 (Broadway) Sunday night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Raynham Police and Fire responded to a report of a serious crash in the area of the post office on Route 138.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a grey Ford Focus, a green Nissan Rogue and a yellow Ford F-150 all involved in a head-on collision.

The driver of the grey Ford Focus, a 20-year-old Taunton man, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. Once extricated, he was transported to the Route 138 Walmart parking lot where he was then transported by medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital.

The operator of the F-150, a 58-year-old Taunton man, was transported by Brewster Ambulance to Good Samaritan Medical Center.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue, a 45-year-old female from Easton, declined to be transported to the hospital.

The crash remains under active investigation by the accident reconstruction unit of the Raynham Police Department.
