Massachusetts sees new COVID-19 dashboard Monday as Baker sets new executive orders

Massachusetts sees a revamp in statistics and a new dashboard in Monday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 725 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Sunday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate lowered to 1.78%.

Massachusetts had seen 1,139 more positive cases announced yesterday.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total confirmed cases to 156,385 with 9 more reported dead for a total of 9,797.

The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 6,217,043 after 51,419 new molecular tests.

The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths decreased to 17.

Estimated active cases are currently 16,561.

Hospitalizations have increased in 32 of the last 49 days and increased by 33 today to see the total raise to 469.

Beginning today, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is posting a revised COVID-19 daily dashboard. This revised dashboard will continue to provide critical information for the public’s understanding of the current and cumulative impact of the pandemic in Massachusetts, reflecting the metrics that are most useful to track on a daily basis.

Many existing data points, including testing, deaths, and hospitalization rates, have been reorganized to report on current numbers, trends over the past six weeks, and trends going back to March.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to October 28th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 103,411
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 97,606
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 5,805

As of November 2nd, according to the CDC, the United States has seen 9,182,628 cases of COVID-19 with 230,383 reported deaths.
