Multiple alarm fire in Portsmouth RI Tuesday Evening
A multiple alarm fire is currently occurring at 7 Eyler Drive in Portsmouth according to scanner transmissions.
A call came in just before 9:00 p.m. for a fire to a 2 car garage attached to a 2 story home.
Mutual aid has been requested from Tiverton, Middletown, and Bristol.
Ashley Kehew who is a nearby neighbor, shot this footage of the fire.

UPDATE: According to Newport Daily News, a 2010 Mercedes Benz SUV in the garage was on fire. A cause of the blaze is being investigated by the state fire marshal’s office and Portsmouth department. The garage is likely a total loss, with the rest of the house sustaining a significant amount of smoke damage, but everyone got out safely.
