A suspect has been arrested concerning an attack on a Massachusetts principal.

According to Boston Police, at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer assigned to a school safety post outside the Dr. William W. Henderson Inclusion School in Dorchester was alerted to a violent attack in progress in the area of Alicia Road and Croftland Avenue.

On arrival, the officer located an adult female victim over the age of 60 unconscious on the ground being tended to by staff members. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of serious injuries which are considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.

It has been revealed that the school principal, Patricia Lampron, was the victim of the attack.

Patricia’s daughter, MaryKate, released a statement on social media.

“Today our mother, Patricia Lampron, was violently attacked at school and seriously injured by a student. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she is being assessed and treated for her injuries.”

“Anyone who knows her knows how passionate she is about this school, it’s students and the Henderson School community.

“Our primary concern is her health and safety. She will need time and support to recover from her injuries.”

“We expect a full investigation into the circumstances of the assault to assure the safety of all the students, staff and teachers in the Henderson School Community.”

“She wants everyone to know that there is NO place for violence in our schools.”

A 16-year-old female suspect was arrested on scene and will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Assault and Battery on a Person Over 60, Assault and Battery (Causing Serious Injury) and Assault and Battery on a Public Employee (2 Counts).
