Massachusetts man allegedly chases juvenile in attempted kidnapping

A Massachusetts man has been arrested on some disturbing charges.

According to Boylston Police, on Wednesday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Boylston Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Mill Road for the report of an attempted kidnapping.

Responding officers were informed that a man attempted to lure a juvenile into his home. After the juvenile refused to enter the home, the suspect chased the juvenile down the road. The juvenile was able to give a description of the subject and later made a positive identification of the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 59-year-old David Shays, who resides in Boylston.

Shays was charged with Enticing a Child Under 16, Attempt to Commit a Crime (Kidnapping), and Assault.

Bail for Shays was set at $15,000, he was booked at the Boylston Police Department and transported to the Worcester Police Department for holding.

    Amputate his right leg so this doesn’t happen again.
