Massachusetts continues to see downward trend in COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths in Saturday report

Today, Massachusetts saw a continued decrease in COVID-19 cases while deaths and hospitalizations continue to decline.

Massachusetts has seen 773 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 91,662 with 76 more reported dead for a total of 6,304.

Massachusetts had seen 805 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

9,342 tests were performed, over 800 less than the total released yesterday, to increase the overall total to 520,986.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to May 19th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 56,338
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 32,549
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 20,560

According to the CDC, as of May 23rd, the total amount of cases in the country is 1,595,885 with 96,002 dead.

Governor Baker announced what will be reopening on May 25 as part of the tiered COVID-19 plan.
