Joe Kennedy III endorses Andrea Campbell for Attorney General in Fall River
FALL RIVER – Today, former US Congressman Joe Kennedy III endorsed Andrea Campbell for Attorney General outside of Portugalia Marketplace in Fall River.
“From affordable housing to education equity, Andrea Campbell has spent her career on the frontlines of the most pressing issues facing communities like Fall River and all of our Gateway Cities,” said Kennedy. “As a lawyer and elected official, she leads, advocates, policy-makes and governs from the perspective of someone who knows that injustice is bred in the places that government overlooks and ignores. I know she will always show up for cities like this one, for families like yours, and for every community in this Commonwealth that deserves a bright, fair, and equitable future.”
The endorsement announcement comes as Campbell continues on her “Listening to Our Gateway Cities” tour if Massachusetts.
“I’m incredibly grateful to have the support of Congressman Kennedy in this race,” said Campbell. “We know that too many of our most vulnerable communities have been left out and left behind for far too long, leaving families to struggle and feel frustrated. Everyone deserves a seat at the table. As Attorney General, I’ll roll up my sleeves and work together – hand in hand with our communities, with your community – to push for economic stability and regional equity across the Commonwealth.”
Last week, a new poll showed Campbell with a 19-point lead over her competitors in her race for Attorney General.
