Fall River will likely have a new recreational marijuana establishment within days.

Today the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission issued a notice authorizing Hope Heal Health, Inc. in Fall River to commence adult-use retail, cultivation, and product manufacturing operations in three calendar days (Monday, January 27) or later.

Back in April, Hope, Heal, Health, Inc was granted a provisional license and last month was granted a full recreational license.

Hope, Heal, Health, Inc converted space in the former Border City Mills complex at 1 West Street in Fall River and has been open to purchase medical marijuana.

Northeast Alternatives became the first recreational marijuana retailer in the city in early 2019. NA sold medical marijuana before the approval for recreational.

The future and current Fall River marijuana establishments will pay a 3 percent tax to the city.
