Franchise owner of multiple frozen yogurt locations accused of planting hidden recording devices in store bathrooms

A Massachusetts business owner has been charged with a disturbing crime.

On Saturday, July 23, just after 7:15 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Field Operations Bureau responded to Tutti Frutti located within the Pheasant Lane Mall after a hidden recording device was located within a bathroom within the store. Detectives from the Special Investigations Division furthered the
investigation.

According to police, it was determined that 42-year-old Chanphanou (Sab) Pou, of Hudson, New Hampshire, the franchise owner of multiple Tutti Frutti locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, purposefully concealed a hidden recording device within the store’s bathroom. As a result, Detectives applied for and were granted a warrant for Chanphanou Pou’s arrest.

On August 31, 2022, just after 6:15 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit arrested Chanphanou who was charged with three counts of Violation of Privacy (Class A Misdemeanor).

Each Class A Misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines. Chanphanou was released on $500 cash bail, pending his arraignment at the Nashua District Court on October 3, 2022.

This investigation is on-going and may involve multiple Tutti Frutti locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
