After previous win on same instant game, Massachusetts man hits $1 million prize
After previously having a decent win on a State Lottery scratch ticket game, a Massachusetts man tried it again and hit an even bigger win.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Daniel Theall is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game.
Theall, who is from Ashby, had won $500 on another Cashword ticket and decided to buy this one, which turned out to be the big winner. He opted to receive the prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use his winnings to make improvements to his property.
He purchased the winning ticket at Gomes Liquors, 58 Ashby State Road in Fitchburg. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
