Fall River special prosecutor appointed after reported arrest of “Turtleboy News” blogger
A blogger of a popular media site has reportedly been arrested concerning a case that has brought national attention.
According to Boston 25 News, Aidan Kearney has been arrested and charges are expected to be filed against him in connection with a special prosecutor’s witness intimidation investigation.
The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office appointed special prosecutor, Kenneth Mello of Fall River, to look into allegations of witness intimidation in the Karen Read murder case.
A Norfolk County Grand Jury indicted Read for second-degree murder, Motor Vehicle Manslaughter, and Leaving the Scene of a Collision causing death in the January 29, 2022, death of John O’Keefe, an off-duty Boston Police Officer who was found unresponsive outside a Canton residence.
The case has brought wide ranging media coverage with some professing Read’s innocence.
