Fall River Police investigating evening shooting in the Flint

The Fall River Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Thursday evening.

According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Fall River Police responded to the area of Haffards and Downing Streets for a report of a gunshot being heard.

Checking the area, Ofc. Wayne Custadio was able to locate a single spent shell casing on the ground. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate any property damage or injured individuals last night.

Uniform Division Officers as well as detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Division will be in the area following up on the incident today.
