Fall River Police Department charge man with animal cruelty

Fall River Police have charged a man in a case of alleged animal cruelty (felony).

According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, Jonathan Rego is accused of causing injury to a cat. It is unknown how the injury was inflicted upon the animal at this time.

Pereira stated no arrest was made.

On Wednesday, a complaint was issued with a summons in Fall River District Court.

The date of the alleged offense was May 10th.

The 31-year-old Rego is scheduled to be arraigned on July 26th.

    What a confusing story. He was charged for an unknown act of cruelty but he wasn’t arrested although it’s a felony

      Lmao. That’s so hilariously true! I read these kinds of stories all the time and some either don’t make sense or they haven’t been properly investigated. I just read one from a CBS reporter saying how, “jurors were shaking their HANDS and gasping when hearing the texts!” So many errors lately too.

        Because the texts were being read in court. As for this story, it contains the details released by police and court records.
