Fall River Police have made an arrest concerning an early morning shooting.

According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, on Saturday at approximately 3:00 a.m. officers responded to the area of Cambridge Street and Mott Street after receiving reports of shots fired in the area. While enroute, additional information indicated that a white male had been seen walking east on Cambridge Street holding what appeared to be a firearm.

Sergeant Matthew Rezendes located the suspect on the 400 block of Coggeshall Street. A search of the area where he had been observed by Sgt. Rezendes lead to the discovery of a polymer 80 9mm pistol with a large capacity magazine.

The Crime Scene Unit responded to assist in the collection of evidence, to include multiple 9mm shell casings which were located in the area where the shots fired call had originated.

23-year-old Bryan Olmo Colon of Fall River was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with discharging a firearm within 500 ft. of a dwelling, carrying a loaded firearm without a license to carry, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a large capacity firearm, and possession of a large capacity feeding device.

This is why no one trusts the media because you’re shills for people in power to craft the narrative. https://fallriverreporter.com/several-dozen-guns-knives-gathered-at-fall-river-guns-for-groceries-event-free-turkey-dinner-announced/

Another shooting in Fall River color me shocked. Fall River Reporter posted the above story 7 months ago to fool the deluded people of the city that the Mayor and the Bristol county DA and the Fall River PD were taking guns off the streets and the community was safer for it. This is a lie. Legal gun owners turned in their legal guns all the while Massachusetts judges keep releasing violent offenders onto the streets to reek havoc again. There is no accountability for this and this exactly why this will continue.

What I see is us covering a gun buyback event and those who put it on deeming it a success. I see nowhere stating that there will be no more gun crimes in Fall River. It even says unwanted guns not recovering guns from criminals. Since you comment often on our articles, I assume you are familiar with our style of just posting the news with no slant and letting people form their own conclusions.

They state and I quote. ” 53 unwanted guns, boxes of ammunition, and several knives were taken off the streets ” This is a clear indication they were in the streets being used in crimes. No where do they get called out for this lie. And how about this gem? ” Mayor Paul Coogan and Bristol County DA Tom Quinn stopped by the event to thank those who were helping make the community safer. ” How is the community any safer? Again , another free pass for the cities politicians to just spout lies. How about actually calling out the lies for a change? And you’re not posting news you’re posting propaganda. This is the definition of propaganda ” information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view. ” Fall River Reporter is leftist shills

I always find it interesting when people think they know we are left or right wing when we are neither. You are entitled to think what you’d like though true or not. Our “left wing propaganda” continues to report on repeated shootings in the city while other media outlets post 10-20 percent of them. Now that is misleading.

When you’re posting leftist propaganda don’t be surprised if people call you out on it. If the shoe fits wear it.

Hoodrats will always get have their illegal, non-traceable guns. The ‘gun laws’ are not intended for Hoodrat criminals they are intended for the troublesome middle class and working class. These ‘classes’ work, run a small business, call city hall and state legislators, vote etc. In other words, they are a pain to the political class.
So better to wipe them out with job and business destroying Covid Scam shutdowns and mandatory vax for employees. Harass them with stupid useless gun laws, tax collection schemes etc. You can also flood the nation with millions of poor, uneducated third world folks to dilute the middle class out of existence. Throw in a few hundred thousand Chinese Military and Cartel narco-Terrorists to sabotage the American food and fuel supply chains and you have permanently wrecked the pesky middle and working class American/Society culture.
