According to Fire Chief Roger St. Martin, a call came in at approximately 5:50 p.m. for flames showing at an unoccupied, recently sold, single family, 2-story home at 276 Beattie Street.

The fire was under control in roughly 15 minutes.

St. Martin stated that renovations were beginning at the home.

The home suffered approximately $120,000 in damages.

At the same time, a small kitchen fire took place in the south end that caused minor smoke damage.
