Fall River COVID-19 cases near 11,500 as deaths increase to 289

Fall River saw more cases of COVID-19 announced on Tuesday.

According to the Mayor’s Office, 11,456 total cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Fall River, a 152 case increase reported since Monday. Approximately 50 of the new cases reported today were tests processed between 1/23 and 2/1 that were not reported earlier due to a technical issue with the state reporting system.

The Fall River Health Department is in contact with the individuals who have tested positive as well as their contacts.

Deaths in Fall River contributed to COVID-19 increased to 289 as the City saw 2 new fatalities Tuesday. 3 deaths were announced on Friday. 1 new death was announced on Thursday. 3 new deaths were reported on Wednesday. 2 new deaths were reported on the following Tuesday. 4 more deaths were announced on the previous Monday. 1 new death was announced the previous Friday. 4 more deaths were reported on the previous Thursday. On the previous Wednesday, 2 new deaths were reported.

62 more COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday. Thursday saw 57 new cases reported. 77 more cases were revealed on Friday. 156 total cases were announced for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
