Fall River and Tiverton firefighters respond to residential blaze, elderly resident rescued from home
Crews quickly extinguished flames at a local home.
According to the Tiverton Fire Department, just after 7:15 p.m., the Tiverton Fire Department responded to 994 Stafford Road for a reported house fire.
Upon arrival, Engine 3 found heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
An elderly resident was assisted from the home by Tiverton Police prior to the fire departments arrival.
As a precaution, mutual aid was requested from Fall River.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
