Dance student’s fathers steal the show at Fall River recital

Choreographer Keith Silva put together a show stopping performance at Artistic Dance Studio in Fall River.

Silva, who is part owner of the studio, helped organize a recital there Saturday night.

Silva’s students put on a great performance, but what may have stole the show was how the performance ended. Father’s of the students decided to put on a performance of their own and it has Fall River talking.

We asked Silva how the performance came about:

“Myself and one of the dads had a dance crew and we used to dance to *NSYNC back in the day. We always talked about a reunion, but with life being too busy, we never got to it. Every year my studio competition students perform to an iconic artist. We pick an artist that has had a big impact on the dance world. This year was Justin Timberlake. Earlier this year, myself and two other dads were at a dance competition talking about the JT production. One of them said that I should bring out the old NSYNC days. That sparked the whole thing. I thought, this is our chance to get the crew back together. When I asked, I was amazed on how quick the other dads jumped on it. From there we had a few private rehearsals to try and keep it a secret and the rest is history.”

Each man is a father of a performer. What is even more impressive is out of just six rehearsals, only one had all of the fathers practicing together.

“We want to show the kids that it’s never too late and you are never too old to dance.” The group is hoping to get the video out there and that someone like Ellen will see the video and help out the studio. “It’s all about the kids.”

Well here is the video from Saturday nights recital. ADS dads performance…… Who says dads couldn’t bring sexy back….. Big thanks to Keith for motivating us to get this done. Amazing show from all the performers
