Cow Chip Festival, carnival, fireworks coming to Dighton

Food, fun, and fireworks are headed to Dighton this weekend for the annual Cow Chip Festival.

The festival will be taking place on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 979 Somerset Ave in Dighton.

Come by for food, rides, woodsmen competitions, cow chip, music, chicken BBQ, tractor pull and more.

The festival opens Friday night at 6 p.m. when concessions, rides, and the woodsmen competitions begin.

On Saturday, the festival begins at 1 p.m. with concessions and rides opening. The Cow Chip Contest begins at 2 p.m., and at 6:30 p.m. Funk ‘n Country will treat guests to a concert. A chicken barbecue will also begin at 5 p.m., and fireworks will commence at 10 p.m., with a rain date set for Sunday.

On Sunday, rides and concessions will open at 1 p.m. along with the lawn and garden tractor pull competitions.

If you are looking to buy tickets for the carnival rides, the prices are as follows, 25 tickets for $20, 40 tickets for $30, and 1 ticket for $1. $25 unlimited ride wristbands are available for Sunday, June 3 – purchase between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. nd ride until closing.
