Brockton woman killed in apparent murder suicide was loved by many

BROCKTON – Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating an apparent murder/suicide, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced. 

At approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office of an apparent murder/suicide by firearm at a home at 524 Ash Street. 

Brockton Police received two 911 calls on the incident, one from inside the home for a report of an unresponsive male, and a second call from a neighbor reporting gunshots. 

Upon arrival, first responders located a female victim with multiple gunshot wounds in the driveway of 524 Ash Street. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where she was pronounced dead of her injuries. She has been identified as 56-year-old Sheron Trowers. 

Brockton Police entered the home and found 61-year-old Carlos Brown deceased in the living room of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. 

Trowers had just come back from a vacation in Jamaica where she has ties. Family members say that Trowers was loved by many.

Trowers and Brown were reportedly in a relationship.

The investigation is active and ongoing by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police.
