Arctic air to bring freezing temps, wind, snow squalls

According to the National Weather Service, we are in for some frigid temperatures and the possibility of blinding snow squalls.

Scattered snow squalls are possible this afternoon and evening which could briefly drop visibility to near zero with heavy snow and gusty winds.

The next two days we are also expected to see wind chills that could dip below zero.

The forecast:

Today
A slight chance of snow showers before 9am, then a chance of snow showers after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 35. West wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight
A chance of snow showers before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 14. Wind chill values as low as -2. West wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday
Sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values as low as -1. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday Night
Clear, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
