Norwood Police shuts down road after fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian
A person was killed after a pedestrian crash on Friday evening.
Norwood Police are currently on scene in the area of Pleasant Street and Garfield Avenue for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The driver remained on scene and Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team are investigating.
There are no charges at this time.
Solar glare may have been a factor according to witnesses.
The victim’s name was not released.
Pleasant Street between Neponset Street and Nahatan Street will be closed for the time being.
Police ask the public to please avoid this area and seek an alternative route.
